At the age of 12, I was introduced to Flash, and ever since that I have been intrigued by computers.

I am currently a full-stack engineer with over 6 years of experience in building web applications. I started off with frontend application development and got into backend development around 3 years ago.

Recently, I built a CLI tool using Python - ranpass - a random password generator.

I have experience building static web pages, single page applications, hybrid mobile apps, browser extensions, REST APIs and event driven applications.

My interests include football, travel, solving puzzles and quizzes. I am a big fan of Mozilla Corporation and advocate of internet privacy.

The goal of the project is to find at least one similar item at store/online competitors for a Target item. Competitor data is sourced from various vendors and different matching processes are run to find matches.

My role in this project was that of a full-stack developer. Was one of the key members in the design and development of the product from scratch.

This product gathers price and assortment data from online websites of competitors on a scheduled or ad-hoc basis. The platform is hosted on AWS and uses SQS, S3 and EC2 extensively.

Was one of the key developers involved in revamping an old XUL based firefox add-on into a modern multi-browser compatible browser extension with support for recording and replaying actions.

Learned frontend technologies and worked on a variety of projects. First was a dashboard for an analytics application, followed by a website for ordering food. Then I got to work on two client projects - Mentored and Flexbook - both mobile apps for e-learning.

Based at Lohajung the base camp for Brahmatal and Roopkund Treks. Worked closely with trek leaders and other staff to help in the management and smooth conduction of treks. Raised awareness about the need to follow sustainable practices during treks among the trekkers. Also worked on insulation of bio digester at the camp for improved generation of biogas from food wastes.

Selected as a research fellow at Charite University, Berlin during the summer of 2013. Worked on electrochemical characterization of pure elements, steel and Mg-alloys. This helped in determining the corrosion resistance of these materials which is an important characteristic for tools in the medical sector.

Materials science is the study of materials and their properties. It incorporates chemistry, physics and engineering to learn, design and develop materials. Apart from core courses, I also learned coding and was into quizzing and cryptographic competitions.

I graduated highschool where I enjoyed learning science, math and computer science. I was intrigued by programming and was always up for a challenge.
